Writers Space Africa-Rwanda
Editorial Issue 2 Umukarago

Editorial – Sandra Nadege

Greetings from the land of a thousand hills.

Welcome once again to Umukarago, a literary magazine that continues to celebrate and amplify the creative works of Rwandan and Rwanda-based writers and poets. We firmly believe in the transformative power of each line and sentence within the works we showcase, touching your emotions and leaving an enduring impact.

In our second issue, we have once again granted our contributors full artistic liberty to delve into the themes that inspire them and convey their unique messages to the world . The submissions we received are as diverse as night and day, and we embrace this diversity as a source of beauty and inspiration. We trust that you’ll appreciate the rich tapestry of creativity and ideas presented in this edition.

Prepare to immerse yourself in an array of narratives, distinctive perspectives, and genuine life experiences emanating from the depths of our contributor’s souls. Our aspiration is for the poems to resonate with your heart and the stories to ignite your imagination, just as they did for us when we first received them.

As we embark on this literary adventure, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the talented contributors who have placed their trust in us. We also express our gratitude to you, our cherished readers, as we believe that your engagement will continue to breathe life into our current and future publications.

Umukarago remains dedicated to showcasing works that are clever, humorous, fearless, unconventional, innovative, unique, experimental, and provocatively insightful. We hope that every issue, both present and future, deeply resonates with you.

Warm regards,

Sandra Nadege
