Day 1
She smells like lemongrass tea fresh on the fire,
Steaming gently, a scent to cherish.
She smells like mint leaves crushed with care,
A breath of the eucalyptus tree, a sweet flourish.
Day 2
Like the tang of banana brewed with care,
Or sweetened coffee that fills the air,
Her scent is wet brown clay
After soft rains grace the day.
Day 3
She smells like sun-dried Basmati rice in a woven sack,
A hint of smoke from Grandma’s fire.
The freshness of plantains, peeled with knack,
Wild herbs that stir a deep desire.
Day 4
She smells of ikivuguto, smooth and mild,
An aroma as soothing as a favorite song.
And in her warmth, love is compiled,
A fragrance I cherish all day long.
