The cradle of humanity is hurting,
As humanity was redefined,
And now you are excluded from what you nurtured.
Your treasure was hunted down,
You became haunted land,
And now you are left to rot inside your shores.
Colored, they acclaim,
As segregation was encouraged,
And now you are ashamed of your unicity.
Through gospel, you are creatures of the second order,
Born to serve, they falsely preach,
And now, with dread, you can’t stand for yourself.
Your voice lands on deaf ears
Your songs of equality put you to eternal sleep
And only in your cave you sing your lives matter,
That our black lives matter.
