Voices and Echoes | Jean De La Croix Dusenge

The voices whispered in the night,
Soft murmurs laced with fear and doubt,
They held me captive, stole my light,
A storm within, no way out.

Echoes followed where I’d tread,
Repeating wounds I thought had healed,
Memories long buried, yet unsaid,
Kept spinning webs I couldn’t shield.

But somewhere past the restless tide,
A whisper kinder than before,
It spoke of hope, of strength inside,
A key to open a hidden door.

Now the voices in my head say
That I can do more like a better being.
Now the joy songs in my soul play
While a new day unrolls for living.

Through shattered glass, I found my way,
No longer bound to ghosts of old,
I turned my darkness into day,
And let my fractured soul unfold.

Now voices lift, no longer break,
And echoes sing, not call me back,
I rise anew, for my own sake,
Complete, unchained, no love I lack.
